As of today , March 23, 2011 death toll from the earthquake and tsunami has risen to 9,408, and more than 14,700 people are listed as missing . Streets are filled with debris , cars piled up from the tsunami . People are inside help centre's . For people who aren't , they are advised to stay inside and tap water has become a hazard . They've said that tap water has too much radiation in it for children under one years old . Japan has said it will cost as much as 25 trillion yen ($309bn; £189bn) to rebuild the country after the disaster. But its said to be the start of a new beginning . Now the Food and Drug Administration in the US said that all milk and milk products and fresh fruits and vegetables from four Japanese prefectures - Fukushima, Ibaraki, Tochigi and Gunma . Will be stopped from entering the states .

Today March 22, 2011 on a different aspect of the news in japan , Japanese officials are testing the food and water supply for radiation . Their going about this , because of the nuclear power plant destruction . It has come about all around the world , signs of it even hit new york . Tokyo Electric Power Co. said that high levels of radioactive substances were found in seawater near the plant, but said that the results did not represent a threat to human health. This new scare in japan has to be controlled , Japanese government banned milk and spinach products . Because they found radiation in the milk and spinach . Marine life is also a huge issue , but for this time being its unclear .

Japan Earthquake / Tsunami

On March 11, 2011 , earthquake/tsunami hit the coast of japan . Recorded as 9.0 on the Richter scale, it was the most powerful quake ever to hit the country . Leading up to explosions and leaks of radioactive gas took place in three reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station that suffered meltdowns, while spent fuel rods at another reactor overheated and caught fire, releasing radioactive material into the atmosphere. The official death toll had been raised to more than eight thousand . But the final toll is expected to reach nearly 20,000. More than 13,000 people are listed as missing. More than 350,000 people are still living in evacuation centres in northern and eastern Japan. Not only do they have the deaths & missing , everyday people are dying from this radioactivity in the atmosphere .Villagers living near the plant have been told not to drink tap water because of higher levels of radioactive iodine . Also , they are complaining from lack of help from the government to clear people the danger zone & aid people who decided not to leave their residence . But for the positive of this devistating situation reactors are being fixed and they say this is "the beginning of a new era" .

Future . .

What you'd like to do in the future is a huge question for teens , first we're struggling to uphold good grades in school . While having a social life , if that's not hard enough . Making your parents proud , the pressure we deal with in these 4 years of high school is critical. Being that most kids , have dreams higher than what we'll ever accomplish . Its hard being what you want and with the recession its getting worse for our generation . Obama campaign was all about change , but for the past year or so of being elected , we haven't turned into a right path. But its all about having faith in your choice , if our generation doesn't make a change for ourselves in the next few years . It's going downhill for us .

bullying ..

Bullying has became an serious issue , in the past few years . Kids are committing suicide , cut themselves & giving up on whats important in life . President Obama had a press conference on the likes of bullying & he stressed the fact that it needs to be stopped , because it does. Just because someone is different , doesn't mean you should put that person down or make that person feel less . Truthfully , in my eyes i feel bullies only do certain things to people who feel they are less , because everything isn't fine & dandy with them . I heard a wonderful quote , that fits this predicament . .misery loves the miserable , meaning once your down . People gonna make sure , no one is happy in my opinion . According to stopbullying.gov , bullying doesn't stop . It goes from ages 5 until young adults . Ive experience bullying from time to time at a young age , but where I'm from someone cant have the upper hand on me , because I'm such a defensive person so things changed and bullying isn't a factor to me anymore . Bullying is a epidemic which if isn't stopped , someone is gonna be hurt .

Ten firefighters were injured on Wednesday morning , during a blaze that broke out at 5a.m on the eight floor . The cause of the fire appears to be an extension cord in an apartment on the eighth floor. Michael McGuire former police officer was the most critically injured during this fire , but everyone should be okay in due time .

Shooting at Germany Airport kills 2 U.S airmen
 "Two United States airmen were killed and two injured on Wednesday when a gunman opened fire on an American military bus at the Frankfurt airport, according American military officials in Europe. "

"Two US servicemen have died after a gunman opened fire on a bus carrying American military personnel at Frankfurt Airport, police say."

Two US airmen were injured on wednesday , also two died . 21 year old man from Kosovo was held infront of Europe second larget airport . It is not known yet , if its a terrorist attack . The airport is near the large US military base at Ramstein, a hub for operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Shooting took place during the afternoon and gunman fled inside the airport . later arrested by german police .
